Feeling the effects of Mercury Retrograde? Us too! This time around, it's here for quite a while but it doesn't have to completely rock your world. Below are some survival tips to keep in mind until October 2nd.
Connect with nature, gaze at the stars, and take lots of walks.Mercury Retrograde has a funny way of breaking down technological systems. When that happens (and it will) take that time to get outside and remind yourself that not everything is digital.
Triple check emails, texts, and any form of written communication.
Mistakes happen and communication tends to get misconstrued when Mercury is in retrograde. If you have something important to discuss, it might be worth picking up the phone or connecting IRL.
Spend time on your mat but slow down your practice.
When things feel chaotic, having the time and space to practice is even more important. Avoid too intense of practices and focus on grounding poses like Vriksasana (tree pose), Utkata Konasana (goddess pose), or my personal favorite, legs up the wall stretch.
Clean out your closet, pantry, or any area you've been putting off.
Use this time to deal with unfinished business like the chores you've been putting off. Mercury rules Virgo, which is the great organizer of the zodiac, so spending time getting things in order before the season begins will be rewarding in so many ways.
Surround yourself with the right crystals.
With their natural vibrations and frequency, keeping crystals close to the body brings our energy into alignment. Some of the best crystals to hold onto when Mercury is in retrograde are Agate, Apophyllite, Aquamarine, Blue Kyanite, Onyx, and Rhodochrosite.
